I'm quite a messy worker, so I cut a hole, slightly bigger, but approximately the shape of my drawing from a piece of paper and blue tack the corners to my drawing paper. I then blue tack tracing paper over the exposed parts while I'm not working on that area. No blue tack actually touches my drawing, as that could cause other problems. When I erase, as I work on a tilted drawing board, I just lift the bottom two corners and brush the crumbs away. Hi Pat. I heard this saying a long while ago and I find it rings very true, "a drawing takes as long as it takes"!

I can take anything from 20 to 40 hours to complete a drawing, possibly more sometimes. I lose track of time when I'm drawing, though, so this is just a rough "guess-timate". :0)

Hi Jenny, have you tried dabbing a piece of your kneaded eraser, or better still, some blue tac poster putty on it, that may work?
